After all of the get-ready-for-the holiday plans have been achieved, it’s time to give some thought about how you want to look for the holidays. Pick out your favorite jewelry, dress, skirt, blouse, coat, scarf, stockings, gloves and hat. You want to look your best. Now, this doesn’t mean you have to be formal (unless of course you are attending a formal affair). However, you should look, act and celebrate the season, whether you’re at home, or out with the family. Enhance your outfit with a little sparkle.

For this season, Brandon Maxwell launched a luxury women’s ready-to-wear line produced in New York. The brand was born out of the desire to make women feel beautiful, sophisticated and powerful. His garments are timeless and impeccably tailored with a focus on craftsmanship. His sleek, red leather pant was topped with a floor-length apricot toned skirt and sleeveless top. It looks great for entertaining at home for the holidays. Lengths were longer, even though some skirts and dresses featured thigh-high splits. Coordinated with shirts, pullover sweaters and jackets, his jazzy jean ensembles exhibited casual chic.

Badgley Mischka is a brand noted for their elegant looks. Designers Mark Badgley and James Mischka made their mark over the past three decades with glamorous, stylish, wearable evening wear and accessories. The duo share a similar aesthetic about clothes and the way people dress. Badgley spent time designing for Donna Karan, and Mischka created men’s collections for WilliWear Willi Smith, one of the fabulous African American designers of the ’70s. With their sophisticated collections, this dynamic duo caters to a younger, more modern couture customer, without forsaking women of any age. “Our styles hark back to the glamorous Hollywood of the ’40s,” said Mischka. “The Badgley Mischka signature style is simple, streamlined and thoroughly modern.”

When you are considering what to wear, keep it simple. In a Badgley Mischka design, “One zip and you are glamorous,” said Mischka. Their designs are constructed in the finest fabrics with quality craftsmanship. This team also creates a variety of lines in bridal, handbags, jewelry, shoes, eyewear, swim wear and home furnishings.

Badgley Mischka’s collections are sold worldwide in Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue and the Badgley Mischka flagship boutique in Los Angeles.
