Rev. Al Sharpton meets with Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Kamala Harris in Harlem

U.S. Senator and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris met with Rev. Al Sharpton Feb. 21 in Harlem at Sylvia’s Restaurant.

U.S. Senator and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris met with Rev. Al Sharpton Feb. 21 in Harlem at Sylvia’s Restaurant.

According to a press release, the two discussed criminal justice reform and other issues. Sharpton and Harris will lunch at the famed soul food restaurant before talking to the media.

Harris has appeared on Sharpton’s MSNBC show “PoliticsNation with Al Sharpton.” Harris also appeared with Sharpton in Washington D.C. at the National Action Network’s post-midterm election meeting.

On Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in January, Harris announced she was running for president of the United States.
