Miami Swim Week was a splash! The Buy-Now-See-Now 2019 collection of Natasha and Devin stayed true to their signature in styles and cuts. Maxing out the Paraiso tent at this year’s MFA, Natasha and Devin filled the runway with rich neutral and blush tones, accented by tranquil lavender, sun-washed yellow, skin-flattering sangria. They introduced a taste of subdued leopard. Nessy Swimwear focused on seamless bikinis. BaNaNhot brings string bikinis with a youthful edge, colors and super sexy cuts. These sexy suits were served with high-rise twists and candy colored barely there one pieces.
At 14 years old VANESSA SANCHEZ launched her own swimwear company Nessy Swimwear. Vanessa is inspired by the carefree, beach lifestyle of Malibu, CA. Nessy Swimwear is free spirited and tantalizing from international popstar and actress Milat youthful line of handmade, seamless bikinis. A key element of Nessy Swimwear’s designs is universality. “All of our pieces are developed to enable girls of all sizes and ages to feel young and free,” said Vanessa. Vanessa is dedicated to produce adorable, quality bikinis at an affordable price. Each bikini is made with love so each and every girl that wears Nessy Swimwear will not only feel beautiful, but will look beautiful.
At their Monday, July 15, Swimwear presentation, the duo displayed a passion for size diversity that was surely represented. They provided an uplifting breath of fresh air to the weekend with deep-V one piece suits, details like high-rise waistbands. Tailored classic tops made each model look more confident than the next. The mix & match ready line was finished off with billowing linen blouse cover-ups and perfectly paired sarongs that twisted softly from daytime to nighttime vibes.
What inspired the collection? Devin and Natasha said, “We are always inspired by the women in our lives. By what flatters a woman’s body, and what makes them feel comfortable. This show in particular was inspired by Greece. So you will see a lot of Grecian details,” Devin and Natasha replied. The show included swimwear and ready to wear. Styles were clean, minimalistic and epically chic. Fabrics were flawlessly flattering. From the looks from these two designers, it was clear that swimwear is a clear staple in summer/resort wardrobes for all ages and bodies. Stand out swimwear pieces included a classic underwire scoop neck 2-piece and an airy robe worn in white by Natasha herself.
Monday Swimwear founders, Natasha Oakley and Devin Brugman, are known as “swimwear connoisseurs” and for their strong advocacy of body positivity. Acting as inspiration to millions of women across the world, Natasha and Devin created Monday Swimwear as a continuation of their goal to instill confidence and power within their female audience.
