In addition to my work with Harlem EatUp! this weekend, I was named as an Official Tastemaker for the second annual World’s Fare in Citi Field also happening this weekend, May 18-19. It is a celebration of the foods of the world from the city’s five boroughs.

For the past several months, with the help of foodie friends and Hunter College High School classmates Tom Cunningham and Maryellen Friday, I have been hand-picking and visiting some pretty awesome food places in the city. As I’ve been guided by fellow Tastemaker and food documentary “shero,” Liza De Guia of NYC TV’s “Food. Curated,” and in the company of Tastemakers such as George Motz of Food Film Fest and Jean Lee, it has been an honor to be a part of this festival.

So here is the deal, Saturday and Sunday at Citi Field in Queens, more than 100 cultural food vendors, live music and dance, international beer garden, art installations and a shopping bazaar. Doors are open from noon to 8 p.m. each day and general admission tickets for adults start at $23 ($9 for children). Once inside you can purchase bites or full servings of your favorites.

Now here is your “in.” Please use my code, WFVIP, at checkout to receive 10 percent off your ticket. Go to theworldsfare.nyc for more information and to purchase tickets. My “twin” will see you there.
