The Veterans Administration and New York State Jazz Literacy and Art Society Inc is hosting a free jazz concert for New York City’s Veterans on Monday, Nov. 18 from 1-4 p.m. at the Veteran Administration Building, located at 423 West 23rd Street in Manhattan.

The event, “Satchmo Jazz Salute for Veterans” features international jazz man Dr. John Satchmo Mannan and his Harlem Renaissance 2.0 Band, as a way to show gratitude to the men and women in uniform and their families who serve our nation so unselfishly.

Vocalist Lee Olive Tucker, tap dancer Makiko, saxophonist Alvin Flythe, the Radway Sharp Trio and others will provide joy and entertainment along with Central Comedy comedian Steve “Fat Daddy” Lou Ray.

The event is supported by the Jazz Foundation of America and the law firm of Lipsig, Shapey, Manus and Moverman personal injury attorneys.
