There was no sleeping in last Sunday morning for participants in Brooklyn’s 38th annual 10K Run and 5K Walk held in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn. For almost four decades, all kinds of people from all walks of life have laced up their sneakers, pinned on their numbers and prepared their bodies for a run or walk. On Sunday, Oct. 13, 2019, hundreds of people took to the Brooklyn streets again to compete against themselves and other professional and amateur athletes for prizes, better times and personal pride. With the local Foodtown supplying the continental breakfast, there was a Wellness Fair, a 100 Yard Kiddie Dash, and a high energy warm-up for runners, walkers and spectators.
It was yet another great community event at Restoration Plaza.
