HBCU Panel Discussion & Mix and Mingle at Teaneck High Schol

Alumni from several historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) are coming together at Teaneck High School (100 Elizabeth Avenue) for the 3rd annual HBCU Panel Discussion & Mix and Mingle on Feb. 20 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The event is being hosted by the Bergen/Passaic Chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women’s Role Model Committee, the Teaneck High School Guidance Department and the Black Youth Organization.

Delaware State University and Teaneck High School alumnus Dawn Tennent is organizing the event. She is the cousin of late journalist and DSU alumnus Michael J. Feeney, who died in 2016 at age 32. Feeney will be honored at the event.

Students between grades 8th and 12th are invited to attend. The program will feature a panel discussion with alumni and current students from several HBCUs including South Carolina State University, Howard University, Wilberforce University and Florida A&M University. Students and parents will also be able to ask alumni questions about their experiences

attending Black colleges.

The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served and there will be raffle and prize giveaways. Register online with Eventbrite at hbcumixandminglepanel.eventbrite.com.
