Rev. Al Sharpton is joining the family of Brandon Hendricks-Ellison on Wednesday to deliver the eulogy at his homegoing service.

Hendricks-Ellison, 17, is one of the many New Yorkers who fell victim to the surge of gun violence across the city. Hendricks was fatally shot in the Bronx just days after graduating from James Monroe High School and was headed to St. John's University in the Fall to play basketball.

The funeral is being held at First Baptist Church of Bronxville (407 New Rochelle Road, Bronxville, NY) at 1 p.m.
