New York State Jazz Literacy and Arts Society Inc. hosted a free jazz livestream concert memorializing and celebrating the life of George Floyd, a victim of police brutality, on Saturday at the Malcolm Shabazz Harlem Market, 52 West 116th Street.

The event was hosted by international jazzman Dr. John Satchmo Mannan. Artists include vocalists Terri Davis, Lee Olive Tucker and Grace Young; tap dancer Makiko; saxophonist Alvin Flythe; the Yayoi Ikawa trio; and others.

The event is part of a series of free jazz concerts supported by the law firm of Lipsig, Shapey, Manus and Moverman this spring and summer.
