As Women’s History Month gets into gear, on Saturday, March 7, Brooklyn’s Rosalyn McIntosh hosted her grand book signing of the bestselling women’s anthology: “Women’s Empowerment, Breakthrough Edition” in East New York’s cozy community venue Word Up Cafe (652 Pennsylvania Avenue). East New York Restoration sponsored the event. Dozens of ladies and some gentlemen enjoyed readings and personal testimony by fellow co-authors such as Susan Reisenbichler and Amsterdam News Editor Nayaba Arinde. The visionary coordinator of this book––which is filled with stories of overcoming life’s challenges––is a humble and appreciative woman. McIntosh thanked her audience with a show of reciprocal love and admiration. “We are sharing our experiences and uplifting each other,” she said. “Thank you queens for coming out and helping a sister celebrate a piece of her vision.”
