Council Member Andy King (12th District Bronx) was joined by members of the Equality Charter School National Junior Honor Society of eighth-graders. They presented the council member with a painting of three cakes, which was created by student Natalie Osei. Osei received her inspiration from American painter Wayne Thiebaud, whose most famous works are of cakes. Osei's painting was a gift from the eighth-graders and will hang in King's new Constituent Services Office at 135 Einstein Loop, room No. 44 In the Bronx. Following the presentation, the students were treated to refreshments and a one-on one conversation with King on various issues including local government, community volunteering, science televsion and music.
