- This 116th Anniversary will be the first of three planned events at The Amsterdam News Headquarters leading up to the 200th Year of the Black Press March 16, 2027. Freedom’s Journal was founded in New York City March 16, 1827 published to combat racist portrayals of Black Americans and advocate for their rights.
- And we’ll be breaking ground on the “Reimagining…” of the iconic historic Harlem Amsterdam News Headquarters on that 200th Anniversary of March 16, 2027.
