We are deeply honored to have you join us at our historic Harlem headquarters at 2340 Frederick Douglass Blvd in Harlem , Tuesday, September 16, 2025, 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm ET.  For an invitation-only evening of fellowship and visionary thinking. Celebrating Amsterdam News Harlem Heritage with live music, delicious finger food, and beverages!  You are welcome to bring a guest(s).

Our small way to say thank you and so many others as we honor Amsterdam News’ 116 years of unbroken service through this “Reimagining…” lifting up Harlem’s arts, culture, local news and racial justice journalism to the world and continuing in service to the largest Black and Brown community in the nation, from the beating heart of these Harlem headquarters.  

We will be sharing with the community and media leaders, staff and supporters in attendance the plans to date for “Reimagining…” of our historic Harlem headquarters!  Deepest thanks to Mellon Foundation’s “Humanities in Place” support that is making the planning of this “Reimagining…” possible!  And Knight Foundation, Borealis REJ Fund and MacArthur Foundation’s instrumental support. 

And if you’d like to join us afterward for dinner at Melba’s, we all will be paying for ourselves for dinner at Melba’s and we’d love to see you there if you are able!  All information is on the RSVP form.
