Say you find yourself at Fairway seeing and smelling all of the wonderful items. You might say to yourself, “I wonder what that tastes like?” Well, wonder no more. Venture over to the Harlem Fairway (2328 12th Ave.) this Saturday, March 17, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and meet some of the great people who bring you all of that great food.

Here is some of what you will see and taste:

Join Fairway’s cheesemonger, Steve Jenkins, for a delicious and educational cheese demo! After tasting cheeses for 37 years, Jenkins will share at least three of his favorites and the best things to serve with cheeses. Sample and learn about cheeses of the world as he shares his passion with you!

Coffee demo with Fairway’s master roaster, Benny Lanfranco! He’s been around coffee beans his whole life–it’s safe to say he knows everything about coffee and roasting. Come chat with him about the roasting process and tricks of the trade and taste Fairway’s Supreme Blend coffee.

Bakery demo with baker Rebecca Martin! She will be sampling Fairway’s new line of gourmet cookies, in flavors like chocolate chunk, oatmeal raisin, kookiepazzo and snickerdoodle.

For more than 30 years, Fairway’s produce expert, Peter Romano, has brought Fairway’s customers a huge assortment of fruits and vegetables, including organic and exotic items from far and wide. Try the sweetest sweet pineapple and gorgeous golden melons.

Learn to cook simple and stunning pasta dishes with only a few great ingredients. Vincent Olivieri will whip up spinach pasta with fresh ricotta and freshly grated Parmesan.

Sounds like a delicious day.
