Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have announced that they are going to be having their first child. Legend, 36, a Golden Globe-winning songwriter, and Teigen, 29, model and host of “FABLife,” have been struggling to have a baby for sometime. Teigen has been especially open and vocal about her struggle with being able to conceive.
In a digital announcement on her official Instagram account, Teigen said, “As many of you know, we’ve been trying to have a baby for a while now. It hasn’t been easy, but we kept trying because we can’t wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family. We’re so excited that it’s finally happening. Thank you for all your love and well wishes. I look forward to all the belly touching! Xx”
Vanity Fair published a quote Teigen shared on “FABLife” in which she speaks about her conception trouble. “I will say, honestly, John and I are having trouble. We would have had kids five, six years ago if it’d happened. But my gosh, it’s been a process!” she said. Teigen went on to say that she and Legend have seen fertility doctors, adding, “So anytime somebody asks me if I’m going to have kids, I’m like, One day, you’re going to ask that to the wrong girl who’s really struggling, and it’s going to be really hurtful to them. And I hate that. So I hate it. Stop asking me!” Looks like no one has to ask after this very public announcement was made to Teigen’s 3.4 million Instagram followers. It is lovely that the couple has finally achieved their dream of starting a family.
