The family and the December 12th Movement (the organization he co-founded) held standing-room-only “Memorial Tribute to our Comrade Field Marshal Coltrane Chimurenga” on Thursday, June 20, 2019, at the Rev. Herbert Daughtry’s House of the Lord Church in Brooklyn. Attendees and speakers from as far as Zimbabwe, Cuba, Europe and the Caribbean joined the likes of Prof. James Small, Councilwoman Inez Barron, Pam Africa, the Rev. Karen Daughtry, Viola Plummer, Dr. James Small, Prof. Leonard Jeffries and Abdul Haqq, in moving and oft times emotional tributes.
