Millions of people turned out for the Gay Pride Parade in the city. A sea of rainbow flags waved from Midtown to the Village in Manhattan.

Several big names were at this year’s celebration including State Attorney General Letitia James, Public Advocate Jumaane Williams Mayor Bill de Blasio and Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

This year’s celebration commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising of 1969. New York was the host city for this year’s WorldPride.
