Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Eta Omega Omega Chapter in the Bronx is hosting its annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service with a “Virtual Housewarming” raising funds for the residents of Maya’s Place, a homeless shelter for young women in the Bronx until Jan. 18.

Donations will be used to purchase sheets, blankets, towels, washcloths, undergarments and socks. The purpose of this event is to honor King’s legacy with service to the Bronx community.

Members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. around the world will honor the life and legacy of King by engaging in a day of service in our communities and around the world to promote peace and community through love in keeping with his life and teachings.
