According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Sherri Shepherd’s wedding on Aug. 13 to TV writer Lamar “Sal” Sally at Chicago’s Fairmont Hotel promises to be a star-studded event. Shepherd’s bridesmaids include her cohost from “The View” Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Niecy Nash, Kym Whitley and Yvette Nicole Brown. Her 6-year-old son, Jeffrey, will escort his mom down the aisle. Meanwhile, Shepherd is hosting a private casino party in the Windy City on Aug. 11 to celebrate Sal’s 41st birthday.
Beyonce has announced a four-night stint at New York City’s Roseland Ballroom in which she is set to perform her latest album, “4,” in its entirety at each show. The “4 Intimate Nights with Beyonce” concert series will only take place in the Big Apple. The shows will be held on Aug. 14, 16, 18 and 19.
In the Express Rocks! Suite recently, John Legend helped his girlfriend, Chrissy Teigen, pick out a new summer hat from Express before checking out the new games for Xbox 360’s Kinect. Despite the encouragement of fans, Legend and Teigen didn’t have time for a dance-off before they rushed out to prep for Legend’s evening concert with Sade. As they explored the Miami “Express Yourself” Oasis, Teigen waited patiently while Legend stopped at the SOUL by Ludacris listening station to try out the new line of headphones.
Not since Motown Records and Hitsville USA captured the hearts and souls of America’s music lovers across the nation has there been a label out of Detroit, Mich., like Best Hand Entertainment, LLC.
The company was founded in 2004 on the Eastside of Detroit by Russell “Big Russ” Marcilis II, president and CEO. Former first lady of Death Row Records Jewell Caples serves as vice president of the three divisions respectively.
Also an artist on the label, Best Hand Publishing will release Caples’ memoir, “My Blood, My Sweat, My Tears,” the soundtrack. Wide Awake Records are distributors of the musical autobiography of her life, with all music produced by Best Hand Music.
Kelly Rowland has been named as the face of Sean John’s Empress fragrance for women. While attending the launch event at the Ciroc Cabana Club in Southampton, N.Y., the singer stated, “I feel it’s so important for women to empower each other.”
