The fifth annual African Day Parade brought out the proud nations of the continent on Oct. 9. Grand marshals, community leaders and the activist community led the people down Malcolm X Boulevard with chanting, music, dancing and great pride. This year, the parade’s theme was “The Year of the African Descent: The Diaspora.” (BAM photos)
