If you’re on a budget but still looking to grab drinks and a bite after work (or class) happy hours are your friend. Bier International

Bier International became Harlem’s first beer garden when it opened in 2009. Bier offer over 40 international and domestic beer options. If you are having a hard time choosing from the list, just ask your server or bartender for a taste test. Its happy hour specials offer almost half-off all of the appetizers, and two dollars off the draft beers.

Location: 113th street and Frederick Douglas BLVD.

Happy Hours Times: Friday from 4:00pm-7:00pm.

Harlem Food Bar

This bar is, “for locals, by locals,” according to the owner. This comfortable and modern style restaurant offers several American traditional favorites like meatloaf, chicken wings, and burgers. They offer $6.00 for all their appetizers during happy hour!

Happy Hours Times: Monday through Friday from 5:00pm-7:00pm

Melba’s

This low-key spot offers $5 cocktails, wine and beer, as well as $3.00 selected shots of the day. Their appetizers are only $5.00! Their American style comfort food will definitely help you relax.

Looking for sophistication? Chocolat’s blue lit bar will really make you feel like you are spending more money than you really have. They offer $6 domestic beer, wine, and martinis. They also offer discounts on all of their appetizers.

Moca Lounge

Not looking for upscale? No problem. The Moca has a more relaxed feel with very comfortable seating. Their happy hour menu offers discounted burgers, wings, and chicken fingers. Their drink menu also has $5.00 wine and cocktails, and selected beers for only $3.50! Happy hour times change throughout the week but you should in the clear if you stop by between 5:00pm and 8:00pm Mondays through Saturday.
