NEW YORK (May 22) – JetBlue Airways has launched four new nonstop routes to the Caribbean as it expands its reach throughout the region.
A leading low-cost airline between the New York region and the Caribbean, JetBlue launched nonstop service from Newark Liberty International Airport to Santiago, Dominican Republic. JetBlue also serves Newark with flights to Boston, Florida and Puerto Rico.
At Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, JetBlue’s growing South Florida gateway to Latin America and the Caribbean, the airline started nonstop service to Montego Bay, Jamaica; Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago; and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
“We now offer customers 69 nonstop routes from the U.S. to the Caribbean and more than 200 daily flights to, from and within the Caribbean, which is more than any other airline. We will continue to expand our presence in this region to better connect families and friends, create international business opportunities and bring Americans to the wonderful leisure destinations across the Caribbean,” said JetBlue President Robin Hayes.
Meanwhile, St. Lucia has welcomed additional winter season flights with the launch of JetBlue nonstop service from Boston. Starting on Nov. 1, the weekly service will depart Boston’s Logan International Airport to St. Lucia’s Hewanorra International Airport on Saturdays.
“This expanded partnership with JetBlue helps make St. Lucia even more accessible for travelers from many of the island’s major gateways in the northeast and midwest, as well as providing added convenience for connections with a number of new markets,” said Louis Lewis, St. Lucia’s director of tourism.
The new service provides convenient connections at Logan International to and from key U.S. cities in the Northeast and Canada.
JetBlue currently serves St. Lucia from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York.
