Chicken drumsticks are always a hit, and they are perfect for a Super Bowl gathering because of their easy one-hand eating—the other hand is for drinking.

Here’s a simple, easy and quick recipe.

Combine two flavors that make sense to you. One should be spicy or savory, and the other sweet. It could be equal parts or less of one, depending on your taste. You can add other flavors, too.

12 large chicken drumsticks

Kosher salt

Freshly ground black pepper

1/2 cup Sriracha

1/2 cup honey

Sliced scallion and fresh cilantro for garnish

Place the drumsticks on a large sheet pan and season generously with salt and black pepper. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour. Remove and return to room temperature for 30 minutes.

Preheat oven to 450 °F. Roast drumsticks 45 minutes, turning frequently, until skin is browned. Combine Sriracha and honey in a large bowl. Remove drumsticks from the oven, add to bowl and toss to coat. Return drumsticks to the sheet pan, turning once, for 10 minutes or until sauce is beginning to caramelize.

Remove drumsticks from the oven. Brush with additional sauce, garnish with scallions and cilantro and serve.
