Fashions by children's wear designers for petitePARADE's ninth edition of Kid's Fashion Week. (170555)

Making their debut at Spring Studios, petitePARADE presented their ninth runway show, which was also digitally activated and globally distributed.

The show opened with children’s wear designs by the top 2015 graduates from Parsons the New School for Design. The cute LittleMissMatched collection, making its debut at petitePARADE, was inspired by creativity through self-expression. Their show featured Nickelodeon star Addison Reicke and young YouTube star Emma of “KittiesMama.” For the mini guests, Little MissMatched produced a hands-on creative workshop called “Project Sock.” Kids were designing and coloring on site. They were also entered into an online competition at LittleMissMatched.com.

For the afternoon segment, Marin + Morgan captured the essence of international culture interpreted through their bold prints. A newly created brand, they stunned the audience with the designer’s eye for sophistication and attention to detail. Their clothes are available at www.marinandmorgan.com.

Amsterdam-based designer Olga Makarchev’s line Olvi is filled with exquisite pieces. Her looks showed her deeply rooted passion for lace and craftsmanship. Find them at olvistrend.com.

L.A.-based luxury brand laer (laerbrand.com/pages/kids) closed the show. This company is popular for their signature moto-leather jackets among Hollywood’s mini-elite. They showed a nice collection of children’s knits on the petitePARADE runway, along with a few “Parent & Child” looks from their main line. The audience loved this group. Celebrity stylist Lisa Cooper created a new take on the school uniforms in a sophisticated palette of spring neutrals. The laer show was in partnership with CORD:USE (corduse.com), an obstetrician-led, high-quality cord blood bank made up of the world’s leading cord blood experts.

Music and style icon Jessica Simpson closed the day along with an after-show dance party presented by New Balance. From the playground to the dance foor, New Balance Kids featured Waffle NYC subway dancers, who entertained the mini guests and taught them new dance moves to the mixes of 9-year-old DJ Alden on the ones and twos. He is so talented as he breaks barriers with his youthful perspective on the power of music. DJ Alden spins at CirKiz, a cutting-edge dance party for today’s kids who like to color outside the lines. Good Show!
