Funeral services for legendary radio personality Vaughn Harper have been announced.
Services will take place at The Riverside Church in New York located at 490 Riverside Drive on Saturday, July 16. A viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11 a .m.
Speakers will include Sandra Ross-Harper, his widow, and his children Dionne, Brieanna and Melanie, Rev. Dr. Al Sharpton, Regina Belle, Grammy Award winner Melba Moore, Tony Award-winning singer Alyson Williams, WBLS Radio’s Dr. Bob Lee and other radio industry colleagues.
Harper died on Saturday in the hospital at age 71 after battling illness. He was best known as the longtime host of “The Quiet Storm” radio show on 107.5 FM WBLS.
