Members of the Eta Nu Sigma Brooklyn and Queens Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. are partnering with New York State Sen. Kevin Parker to host the sorority’s annual Youth Symposium Saturday, March 9 at 12 p.m., at Thomas S. Murphy Clubhouse at the Madison Square Boys and Girls Club (2245 Bedford Ave., Brooklyn).
The sorority’s Youth Symposium theme, Mission Possible: A Safe Space for Our Youth, is geared towards youths ranging from ages 11-19. Middle school students will receive education on financial literacy where information on budgeting, saving and understanding one’s finances will be addressed. Older students will have a platform to discuss topics that are important to them. There will also be a soca zumba class for all attendees to promote physical activity.
