Singer and songwriter Vivian Green is bringing her unmistakably powerful voice to the Lehman Center for the Performing Arts alongside Deborah Cox and Estelle for Ladies Night on November 29. The vocalist, who experienced chart success with “Emotional Rollercoaster,” will bring a versatile and unique set to the Bronx venue this weekend. “The lineup, I actually really like,” Green told the AmNews in a telephone interview ahead of the performance. “Our music is all different, and from different eras, and I think that’s a really cool thing — to have an eclectic lineup versus it all being one thing.” This marks the first time the trio will appear on a lineup together. “I met Deborah once,” Green explained. “But I do love both of them — I think that counts!”
Green, who first made waves in 2002 with “Emotional Rollercoaster,” released her latest album, “Love Absolute” in 2020. Since then, she has been working on new music (with no definite release date) along with making strides in the disability community with her son, Jordan Green. The duo have started a regular Instagram series titled “Motivational Mondays,” in which Jordan discusses his challenges as a young adult living with an “unknown syndrome” according to a post on Green’s social media. “His personal messages have been really beautiful,” Green told the AmNews. “While his messages are for his community, it goes so far beyond that … Wherever you are in the world, however you were born, there are certain things we’re all going to deal with and go through, and that makes his messages universal.”
