PROVIDENCIALES, Turks & Caicos (March 26)—Seven Stars Resort, located on the island of Providenciales, Turks and Caicos, has appointed Wilbert Ashbert Mason as its new general manager.

Mason, who will be responsible for providing direct oversight and management of resort operations across all departments, brings more than 24 years of hospitality experience to the position.

Seven Stars Resort features a magnificent pool that serves as its centerpiece, luxuriously appointed junior, one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom suites. Recent accolades include being named to Conde Nast Traveler’s Gold List as one of the “World’s Best Hotels and Resorts,” named “Top 5 Ranked Resort in the Caribbean” by U.S. News and World Report and named one of the “Top 5 Resorts in the Caribbean” by TripAdvisor in its 2014 Traveler’s Choice Awards.

Before joining Seven Stars Resort, Mason served as the general manager of Peter Island Resort and Spa in the British Virgin Islands, where he oversaw all departments and property operations, including more than 190 employees. Before that, Mason held the position of front of house manager with the Regent Palms Hotel and Spa in Turks & Caicos, in addition to a top management position at the luxurious Sandy Lane Hotel in Barbados.

In addition to Mason’s extensive resort experience, he has also held several leadership positions in the British Virgin Islands, including vice president of hospitality for the Chamber Commerce and Hotel Association, BVI Tourist Board executive team member and BVI Minimum Wage Board.
