The 125th Street Business Improvement District and Community Boards 9 and 10 are flipping the switch for the 25th Anniversary of Harlem Holiday Lights 2017 on Thursday, November 16 on 125th Street between 5th Avenue and Marginal Street.
Harlem’s 125th Street will be transformed into a sea of lights and sound during Harlem Holiday Lights 2017, a fun filled family event that kicks off the holiday season in Harlem.
Dozens of merchants and community groups will host in store activities, special promotions, discounts, giveaways, food tastings, and live entertainment. For the first time ever the BID will also be hosting a Silent Party during the Harlem Holiday Lights event.
Harlem Holiday Lights is a free event, but there is an admission fee for the Silent Party. Tickets for the Silent Party can be purchased on harlemholidaylights2017.eventbrite.com. The guest DJs spinning at the Silent Party will be Sundae Sermon feat. DJ Stormin Norman, DJ Cosi and Marc Smooth, and DJ Vern.
Residents and visitors can download the Harlem Happenings app to find, locate and avail themselves of a range of unique services and store promotions available along the historic corridor. The app features categories of Shop, Dine, Entertain, Educate, Culture, What’s New, and Health – to represent what Harlem has to offer.
Other activities during the Harlem Holiday Lights 2017 include Art and Karaoke, Trivia Game, Employee Talent Show, Beverage Sampling, Food Tastings, Children’s Village, Greek Strolls, Ugly Sweater Contest, Funky Hat Competition, and Boot Camp Training.
