I am shocked and saddened by the Passing of the Lion Charles Rangel. Hè was such a force to reckon with in the Harlem Community. He fought on every level.Mr.Rangel is the last of the Mohegans. My heartfelt Condolences to his Family.Friends,Colleagues, anf the people of Harlem. You wil be Sorely Missed and Loved. SIP
I loved and admired ‘the Chairman’ — I always called him that , from his years as head of the Select Committee on Narcotics. We worked together then and stayed in contact long after. Precisely the kind of leader we so desperately need at the top these days. Goodbye, Mr. Chairman; you will be missed from Harlem to Hawaii.
Wow! Charlie , attended PS 89 and so did I, Charlie attended Junior High school 139, and so did I. He attended De Witt Clinton H.S and so did I. He had a political relationship with J.Raymond Jones (The Fox) and I was a member of the J.Raymond Jones political club. He gave me a letter of support when I applied for a General Manager position for a large Mitchell development in Harlem. I was offered the position. You will be missed Chairman Charlie Rangel
We are saddened by the news of Congressman Rangel’s transition, but we also celebrate his rich legacy. He was a Harlem Legend greatly admired and deeply loved by us all. We were so blessed by his leadership and example, and will always cherish his lifelong service to our community, nation and world. He is now rejoined with his beloved, Alma Rangel. May he forever rest in peace.
