New York Amsterdam News Executive Editor Madison J. Gary discusses his 20 years since Hurricane Katrina on PIX 11 News. In 2005, Hurricane Katrina made landfall in New Orleans as a Category 5 storm and killed more than 1,300 people. A majority of the victims were in poor, underserved communities.
