Renowned vocalist and actress Diana Ross will return to the tri-state area with three performances on the singer’s “Beautiful Love” tour this fall. The “Queen of Motown” is slated to belt out a career spanning set of solo classics and Supremes songs on Oct. 25 at the Hard Rock Hotel in Atlantic City, NJ, Oct. 27 at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, NJ, and Oct. 29 at the St. George Theatre in Staten Island, NY.

Ross began her influential and storied career as a member of the Primettes, a girl group that mirrored male counterparts the Primes, and that would eventually morph into The Supremes. Ross experienced great chart success with The Supremes, a key group in the monumental success of Berry Gordy’s Motown Records, which housed brought artists like Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, and the Jackson 5 into the homes of millions around the world. Together, Ross, the group, and the team at Motown produced hits that included “Baby Love,” You Can’t Hurry Love,” and “Where Did Our Love Go.” In 1970, Ross launched a successful solo career, reinventing herself as an actress with appearances in “Lady Sings the Blues,” and “The Wiz” in the 1970s, and incorporating disco into her music in the 1980s. She released her latest album, “Thank You” in 2021 and performs selections from the album alongside a slew of other hits.

Ross last appeared at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in May of 2024, holding a brief Q+A session towards the end of her performance, and featuring guest vocal spots from her daughter, Rhonda Ross Kendrick.
