With a full range of pretty camisoles, boy shorts, panties, thongs, baby doll pieces and nightgowns, Bijte launches a daywear-to-sleepwear collection of intimate apparel for women sizes 2-14,with bust sizes C-E. The looks are soft, pretty and sexy.
This premiere collection offers a full range of intimate apparel items that feature specialized designs, luxurious fabrications, distinctive sizing and elegant embellishments. Bijte’s night-gowns and baby doll sets are made in stretch silk charmeuse and silk chiffon. Their camisoles and bottoms (panties, boy shorts and thongs) are made in stretch silk charmeuse, lace and nylon/spandex. To add a super sexy look and feel, all Bijte garments include a variety of trims and hardware (elastic, slides, rings, bows and ribbons) that are incorporated into the functionality of the garment.
Founder Diane St. Louis, a graduate of Williams College and Columbia Law School, and her lead designer Rosalyn Harte, a veteran of the intimate apparel and swimwear industry, spearheaded the company. During her law career, Ms. St. Louis developed a growing interest in the intimate apparel industry. In 2003, she trained at FIT in lingerie design. She has also worked with a New York-based consulting agency. Since 2005, her primary focus has been to develop this collection. She has tested patterns, engaged focus groups, met with vendors, interviewed factories, researched fabrics and fabric sources.
Ms. Harte’s expertise is in designing undergarments for full-busted women. Her designs have been seen in larger, well-known, mid-market collections that include Maidenform and Vanity Fair. Harte has also created undergarments for independent, high-market brands such as Malia Mills and Aerin Rose, two companies that are nationally recognized swimwear labels catering to the full-busted woman.
“Bijte’s underthings are specifically designed to fit the full-busted but standard-sized woman,” said Diane St. Louis.
“Our items target women who have been traditionally ignored by the lingerie market, women who have been labeled hard to fit because they aren’t an average bust size (34B-36C). We developed the line to offer women in this market a collection of luxury, well-fitted, sexy lingerie that meets their specific size-centric needs.” Good show!
