“The Voice of the Civil Rights Movement” as she was often called, Odetta Holmes was an African American performer of multiple talents. She was Born in Birmingham, Alabama and grew up in Los Angeles California. Artists the likes of Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Janis Joplin, Thomas Winslow and John Waters.

Over her Career she released more than 25 albums spanning the 1950’s to the year 2007.
