The New Breed Life Arts and Educational Association, a nonprofit organization, is holding a press conference on Aug. 20 to alert the public about their Martial Arts Fight Night fundraiser. The event will be in support of the martial arts school, which offers a reading program, wilderness camping program and other preventive programs for kids in need, according to the organization. The press conference will be held on the second floor of the Adam Clayton Powell Jr. State Office Building at 125th Street and Seventh Avenue, from 6 to 8 p.m.
The fundraiser on March 31 will take place at the Paradise Theater in the Bronx. The event includes a mini tournament and festival of dancing, music, martial arts, fashion and games for children from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The adult portion of the Martial Arts Fight Night begins at 5 p.m. with kickboxing, sport karate, dance, fashion, guest celebrities, a masters’ competition and a host of other events.
