Mental health advocate Terrie M. Williams held a talk at Hue-Man Bookstore and Cafe about her journey since the release of her amazing book, “Black Pain: It Just Looks Like We’re Not Hurting,” and the overwhelming mental health effects of the recession, joblessness and day-to-day life stresses. Her Stay Strong Foundation honored three extraordinary people: Vashta Wilson, of Bad Boy Worldwide; Twanna Rose, of Tee’s Sweet; and Lisa Cash, of HighStreet Events. The event was sponsored by Macy’s and Hue-Man Bookstore and Cafe.
