Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. kicked off a monthlong coat drive this week to help the less fortunate stay warm this winter as part of the New York Cares 23rd annual coat drive. The annual drive, “Keep the Bronx Warm Month,” will stretch through December.

People can drop off coats at Diaz’s office in the Bronx County Courthouse and at local police precincts. The drop-offs for new or gently used coats are located in Manhattan at the Manhattan borough president’s office, at 1 Centre St. South, 19th floor, and at 163 W. 125th St. in Harlem. The drive’s goal is to collect 100,000 coats for the needy.
