“Sex & the City” stylist Patricia Fields selected Australian shoe label Mary-Kyri for the recent Shanghai press event, “No Makeup, No Fashion.” The affair was presented by Maybelline China. Due to their versatility, Mary-Kyri shoes are believed to blur the line between luxury and street fashion.

The presentation displayed New York City fashion style with eight different looks. From the runways of 2012, the show was enhanced with high fashion and a pop aesthetic scenario including scenes like “Attending a Lady Gaga concert” and “Working Girl in Manhattan.”

Fields selected eight designs for the event, including Lassa, Zos, Shaida, Loval, Sarafina, Sadia, Sharla and Jualla, a design from the bridal couture and evening collection.

With the selection of the Jualla came a request to crystallize the design, as it was to be styled with a heavily established colorful crystal corset and soft mini tutu. Kyri collaborated with long-term friend and Adelaide jewelry designer Stav to embellish the Jualla, individually applying 1,457 clear Swarovski crystals to the pair.

“It’s always an honor when you are selected to work with the best in the industry,” said Kyri, the line’s director and designer. Mary-Kyri has developed a reputation for beautiful, distinct, highly fashionable stilettos made from the finest Italian leathers and components produced in Italy.

In past seasons, Mary-Kyri shoes have accessorized the collections of Sass & Bide. “We love Mary-Kyri’s unique view on shoes. The quality, vibrant use of color and contrasting fabrications complement our current collection,” explained Sarah Jane Clarke of Sass & Bide.

Celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez, Dannii Minogue, Kylie Minogue, Cheryl Cole, Kate Moss, Katie Holmes and The Veronicas are all fans of Mary-Kyri Shoes.
