Chadwick Boseman has been cast with Harrison Ford to bring Jackie Robinson’s legacy to the big screen in a new biographical motion picture.
Best known for his exceptional and successful career in baseball, as the first Black player in american major league baseball, Jackie Robinson was also well known for his fight to integrate sports. By breaking this color line, he also played an important role in the Civil Right Movement.
Playing such a character might be a good challenge and career move for Boseman who is a newcomer in cinema. Boseman will share the screen with Harrison Ford who will play Branch Rickey, the MLB executive who signed with Robinson.
This spectacular story should hit theaters within the next few years.
