Janet Jackson engaged? (36139)

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson needs to stop playing! A fellow journalist who just returned from Hawaii where Johnson was promoting his new movie, “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island,” which hits theaters Feb. 10, said that every time she sees Johnson off-screen, he’s wearing baggy jeans and an oversized shirt. However, that understated style drives her and other female reporters to distraction! My advice to the Rock is, if he wants the ladies to stop drooling, then tighten that shirt so they can see what’s under there and get back to business.

On Jan. 26 in Hollywood, there was a launch celebration of McDonald’s new Chicken McBites. It was a fun red-carpet Hollywood affair with music by DJ C-Squared, aka Connor Cruise, Tom Cruise’s son, and a special performance by Salt-N-Pepa. “Beverly Hills 90210” star Shenae Grimes and “Red Tails” star Tristan Wilds danced arm-in-arm during the veteran rap trio’s performance. Meanwhile, Christina Milian was overheard saying she was “starving” and so excited to grab her own snack-size McDonald’s Chicken McBites.

Being in the midst of a child visitation battle with her ex-boyfriend, Gabriel Aubry, and hobbling around on a broken foot isn’t slowing down Halle Berry and her business ventures. The innovative actress has two new deals going. The first is a shoe line called 5th Avenue by Halle Berry, due out in the United Kingdom early in March. Secondly, one year after the premiere and successful reception of Reveal by Halle Berry, Coty announced the latest scent in the Halle Berry fragrance portfolio: Reveal the Passion by Halle Berry.

A brand-new venture, Drink and Dream Baby Bottles, created by entrepreneur Lonzell Montgomery, will launch on Feb. 11 on kickstarter.com. Drink and Dream Baby Bottles will be featured as the “Project of the Day.”

Montgomery has been formulating these very unique baby bottles for over a decade. A father of 5, Montgomery had one child who, as a baby, was hard to calm down. One day, after fixing a collapsed bottle top, the bottle made a hissing sound that caught the baby’s attention. From there, he got the idea to put music into bottles and even a compartment for pacifiers. Based in New York City, Montgomery said, “I’m a pretty handy guy. Once I get an idea, I go at it.”

On Oscar Sunday, Feb. 26, the Beverly Hills Hotel’s Crystal Ballroom will once again be the venue for the arrival of approximately 150 to 200 film and TV stars attending the hottest celebrity awards party in Tinseltown, the 22nd annual Night of 100 Stars Black Tie Viewing Gala.

Norby Walters, a veteran music agent, will reprise his role as producer and dinner chairman. The formal sit-down dinner viewing party has always included past Oscar winners and nominees who return to pay tribute to this year’s favorite nominees. Stars and their guests will be dressed to the nines in formal fashion, representing the nation’s finest design houses.
