The Super Bowl Gospel Celebration (40255)

The Super Bowl Gospel Celebration was launched in 1999 and is the NFL’s only sanctioned gospel event. The event attracts top gospel artists as well as players; the NFL Players Choir is made up of active and retired players.

The gospel celebration is sanctioned by the NFL, which has partnered with Verizon Wireless for a new two-year sponsorship that includes prominent branding activities for the company throughout the NFL season.

Those who have attended the event at past Super Bowls will be pleased with the addition of “The Best Church Choir in America,” the winner of the Verizon How Sweet the Sound competition, which will perform live.

Verizon Wireless’ sponsorship of the Super Bowl Gospel Celebration with the NFL will continue the musical experience for those who have seen winners of the competition perform at past Super Bowl Gospel Celebrations over the years, winning new fans every year.

Guests who plan on attending will be able to experience interactive activities, including live music and an opportunity to use their mobile devices, guaranteed to enhance their Super Bowl week and weekend.

Verizon’s How Sweet the Sound competition has become a much-anticipated event in the gospel community around the country. Past performers Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight, BeBe and CeCe Winans, Kirk Franklin and Yolanda Adams, along with Fred Hammond, Mary Mary, Marvin Sapp and other NFL greats have all made appearances.

Superstar quarterback Donovan McNabb and NFL greats Ray Lewis, Cris Carter, Kurt Warner, John Elway, Jerry Rice, Tony Dungy and Lovie Smith are just a few of the many pro athletes who have attended the affair.

Verizon’s Super Bowl artists, NFL players and members of the NFL Players Choir and special guests will be announced later this week.
