New Yorkers are rejoicing as the New York Giants win Super Bowl XLVI beating the New England Patriots 21 – 17 in Indianapolis.

Celebrations can be heard across the city in bars, in the streets and passing cars honking over the win. The Giants will head back to the city where a parade awaits them.

The Giants trailed the Patriots in the beginning of the game with a score of 17 – 9 in the third quarter but a “Hail Mary” pass by Tom Brady bounced into the Giants end zone changing the outcome. Big Blue was able to score 12 points taking the lead.

This makes the fourth Super Bowl win for the Giants. Both teams faced off in 2008 with the Patriots beating the Giants 17 – 14.

Reports indicate that an estimated 111 million viewers watched Super Bowl XLVI.
