It was a two-fisted night of boxing. From the opening bell of the first bout to the main event of the evening, “the World’s Greatest Promoter,” as Don King is known around the world, saw his production at Miami’s Jai-Alai closed out by Miami’s Joey “Twinkle Fingers” Hernandez (20-1-11 KOs). Hernandez ended the night with a spectacular, two-fisted barrage of power punches that sent Shakir “The Assassin” Ashanti tumbling headfirst to the canvas at 2:46 of the first round in their welterweight bout. He was down for several minutes as Twinkle Fingers, the WBC-U.S. super welterweight champ, celebrated his spectacular performance.
Bermaine “B-Ware” Stiverne, the WBC heavyweight champion, scored a unanimous decision over Willie Herring.
