Report sheds light on college attainment for students of color (38519)

Students from Satellite III M.S. 103 shined at a beautiful graduation ceremony, held at Prospect Heights High School on Tuesday.

Principal Beatrice Thompson told the excited students that this was the beginning of a great journey in their educational career, while longtime Assistant Principle Omotayo Cole Cineus bid a sad farewell, as she moves on to a new school in Queens.

Valedictorian Shamar Sagar gave a wonderful speech and Salutatorian Mia Jones was also funny and inspirational. Special mentions went to PTA President Cassandra Burton and volunteer Monique Smalls, who “fought the good fight” in trying to stop the school from being phased out when a new school was to be brought into the Clinton Hill building.
