The very talented Williams sisters of tennis has strike again to be the best. Venus (31) and Serena (30) Williams were recently named the Top 40 Female Athletes of the past 40 years by ESPNW. The top 40 list of females is affiliated with ESPN’s “The Power of IX”, which is a celebration that promotes gender quality among college sports.
Among the list, Venus placed No. 21. Venus holds 21 Grand Slam titles: 12 doubles, two in mixed doubles and seven in singles. Serena list at No. 10 with 27 Grand Slam titles which is more than any active male or female player. Just to name a few, other athletes that have made the list are Cammi Granato No. 37, Grete Waitz No. 28, Tracy Caulkins No. 23 and Nadia Comaneci No. 8.
As Both sisters continue to work hard to stay at the top, their opponents will have a longer way to go if they want to meet their match.
