Janet Jackson engaged? (36139)

It looks like some cast members of “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta” are trying to clean up their act…literally. Their over-the-top antics had the Twittersphere in a frenzy–even Diddy tweeted about it. Despite getting crazy on TV, it seems like our girls Mimi and Mama Dee really do have hearts of gold! The two stepped out on Tuesday to attend “The Amazing Spider-Man” Stand Up and Volunteer event in Atlanta, where they painted pictures and murals with kids to beautify the local community center. Only time will tell how long all of this good behavior will last. “The Amazing Spider-Man” opens July 3.

Magic Johnson took the Big Apple by storm on June 27 as he launched his new TV network, Aspire, live in front of 500 guests at Cipriani 42nd Street. Celebs at the rumored $400,000 bash, including Natalie Cole, Tika Sumpter, Lynn Whitfield, Wyclef Jean, Natasha C. Coward and Walt “Clyde” Frazier, were treated to a concert by New Edition without Bobby Brown. A source told me, “Bobby couldn’t make it. He had a solo show tonight.”

Jennifer Hudson had a busy few days in New York City last week. On June 26, she filmed a special for the QVC Shopping Channel. On Wednesday, the Oscar-winning actress appeared on “Good Morning America.” Later that night, she paired an Equipment top with Helmut Lang pants and Guiseppe Zanotti flats at the unveiling of the Pampers “Lullaby and Goodnight” recording at espace in Times Square.

Tongues are wagging that Solange Knowles told a friend she had a strange dream about Sasha Obama at the Carrera 6000 launch at Solstice Sunglasses’ “Celebrate Summer Solstice” event in New York City. As the sun heated the Meatpacking District’s streets, Knowles slipped on a pair of Carrera 6000s and deejayed for the hot crowd.

Now, at this stage of the game, I normally could care less whether or not I’m invited someplace. The same people are normally at the same events all over the country. However, I am deeply hurt that Jackie, Tito, Jermaine and Marlon Jackson told a mutual friend, who also had promised me tickets, that there were no tickets for me to see them at the Apollo. I stood up for Michael when they didn’t and endured horrible criticism and lost employment opportunities because of it. I ran into Marlon at the premiere of “Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Witness Protection” and he looked at me like I was speaking Greek when I asked him about a ticket.

Even Janet has always had seats for me when she comes to town for a concert, and the last time I checked, she was a much bigger star than those four. LaToya came to town last summer to promote her book “Starting Over” and gave me carte blanche to invite as many people as I wanted to her party.

Perhaps the six figures I got for a certain one of them from “The Insider” and “Entertainment Tonight” after MJ died slipped his mind when he was handing out the cheap seats.
