The Bronx Borough President’s Cup was at stake during the big championship game between the Raiders and the Bronx Bombers Lil’ Leaguers. However, before they could even get to the title game, they had to be certified as meeting requirements to participate in the program, such as meeting scholastic standards as well as demonstrating a commitment to community service. Participation in the program also meant having to meet attendance and grade point averages. The Raiders, meeting all requirements, also won the President’s Cup, becoming the league champions.
