Older New Yorkers are always eager to know where the best and latest happenings are in the metropolitan area, and many of them rely on newspapers, magazines and, for the computer savvy, the Internet to find the locations.

Council Members Inez Dickens (9th District) and Jessica Lappin (5th District) have pooled their resources and contacts, and on Tuesday at Canaan Baptist Church, senior citizens are invited to a fair to discover where the free and low-cost cultural events are in the city.

These venues include museums, theaters, galleries and other cultural institutions that will present programs and offerings for our seniors at the fair. There will also be door prizes and light refreshments.

The event will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 30, from 1 to 4 p.m., at Canaan Baptist Church of Christ, 132 W. 116th St, Founders Hall, third floor. For further information, please call Taina Prado at 212-980-1808 or Dominique Lynch at 212-678-4505.
