Miguel Cotto, the four-time, three-division world champion, will enter the ring at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night, Dec. 1, where he will face young Austin Trout, the WBA super welterweight champ from Las Cruces, N.M.

Trout, a devastating puncher from both sides of his body, has successfully defended his title three times. He had a great amateur career (2004 U.S. Amateur champ) and was an alternate on the 2004 US Olympic team. The undefeated 25-0 Trout (14 KOs) knows he will be facing a great warrior in Cotto, who sports a 37-3, 30 KO record. “I had a great camp and I’m ready to go 12 rounds,” said Miguel, who was born and raised in Caguas, Puerto Rico.

So this fight will see the young and strong Trout taking on the cagey veteran Cotto, one of the greatest fighters in the ring over the past 10 years.
