Liberation Theatre Company shares holiday cheer at Art in Flux Harlem (40058)

Sandra A. Daley-Sharif and Spencer Scott Barros, founders and producing artistic directors of the Liberation Theatre Company (LTC), hosted a fantastic holiday celebration on Monday, Dec. 17, at Art Flux Harlem Gallery. The festive evening included words by LTC board member Colman Domingo, an actor and playwright, excerpts of new works by playwright James Scruggs and songs by singer and playwright Vienna Carroll. Surrounded by the cool art exhibition of Ivan Forde, Makeba Rainey and Suprina, the soiree was one of great company, delicious soul food, fine wine and other drinks that included Sandra’s famous sangria, and wonderful donated raffle prizes.

LTC is a home for creative emerging Black playwrights, providing resources to develop their work, nurturing and inviting them to express themselves in a supportive and focused environment. The company brings together actors, directors and playwrights, giving playwrights the room to learn and grow, culminating in doing their finest production-ready work.
